In addition to being a great place to hang out, Cafe Mustache is an important and unique part of the local music scene. Since our first show with Angel Olsen in 2010, we’ve been hosting great musical events several times a week. Jazz, hip-hop, experimental, spoken word, rock and roll, dance parties - Cafe Mustache does it all. The Chicago Reader calls Cafe Mustache Chicago’s “Best non-traditional music venue.” Check out our events calendar for upcoming shows.
Please Note: Cafe Mustache shows ARE NOT BYOB. We serve alcohol, and outside beverages are not allowed. ALL EVENTS ARE 21+.
If you are interested in having an event at Cafe Mustache, please email Ralph at email@example.com. Due to the high volume of inquiries, we don't do booking over the phone. Shows are usually booked at least a month or two in advance.
At Cafe Mustache, all the music you hear is from our eclectic collection of over 2000 vinyl records. No enduring your barista / bartender's ipod here!
Retail Music for Sale
Cafe Mustache has a selection of records, tapes, CDs, zines and novels from local artists for sale on consignment. We don't take a cut - all prices are determined by the artists and the money goes directly to them. If you would like to sell some of your work please e-mail Ralph at firstname.lastname@example.org.
